This year in 2010 The Board Shop is happy to announce our first major synergy throughout our life of shopness, Gage Marine! We are happy to team up with Gage on the water, off the water and everywhere else. As Gage provides the Mastercrafts we all have or long to have, we provide the toys for them! This season we have also allied in creating what used to be “The Board Shop Summer Series” now known as “The Wake Experience – Wakeboard Tour & School”

In joining goals to provide knowledge, gear, lessons and competitions to consumers and future shredders we set out for growth in our industry!! We have see success in the first part of this summer, and curving into the next half, we are really getting crazy! We have made our last two competitions July 19th (Lake MAry) & August 10th (Gage Marine) COMPLETELY FREE to join! After all our goal is to get the community on the water!

Nikita 10 year anniversary!

Nikita Clothing was founded in 2000 by a girl named Heida Birgisdottir in a small shop she had in downtown Reykjavik Iceland.

Heida has always been a very active rider and searched for a long time some female street clothing that fitted her lifestyle. Since she never really found the right clothes she decided to start her own clothing line, being a clothing designer herself, she thought it made sense!

Today, Nikita is available in selected stores in 30 countries around the world and represented by the coolest girls on the planet! Nikita participates in all kind of happenings around the world, encouraging girls to live an active lifestyle.

In 2010 it is Nikita’s 10th year anniversary, so it’s time to celebrate!

The artist Behind the the evil horde guy… RVCA x Matt Furie

Matt Furie lives in San Francisco where he collects toys and draws nasty, funny creatures.

Since leaving his native Ohio six years ago, Furie’s work is slowly catching on. Following a variety of shows around the Bay Area – at Needles & Pens, Adobe Bookshop, and Low Gallery – and some promo from local art website Fecal Face, he is moving southward and eastbound with shows at The Cartoon Network offices and New Image Art in L.A., Giant Robot in NYC, and abroad in Venice, London, Sweden and Australia.

MArch 13th, 2010 @ Ragging Buffalo

Saturday March 13th at Ragging Buffalo, $1000 Cash will be given away to the 1st place rider at the Eneme of State Comp. This is The Board Shop’s first year as a Sponsor. The winner could be either a snowboarder or a Snowskier. We are excited to see and post the outcome of the event, everyone is welcome to help make this a success! Big ups to Johnny huego for putting the event on, and stay posted for info on winners, photos, and the overall event success!
